What the guide covers
Five mistakes. All fixable. Starting today.

Most HIM professionals who aren't getting callbacks aren't underqualified. Their resumes are getting filtered out before a human ever reads them. Here's what's actually happening — and how to fix it.

MISTAKE 01
A format ATS can't read
Columns, tables, and graphics look polished to you — and are invisible to the systems screening your application. Your resume scores a 20% match on a role you're perfect for, and you never find out.
MISTAKE 02
Missing the right keywords
Every posting has a unique keyword set. When your resume doesn't reflect those words, your ATS match score drops below the threshold — and your application gets filtered before anyone reads it.
MISTAKE 03
A summary that says nothing
Generic summaries blend in. A hiring manager scanning 200 resumes needs to know who you are and what you bring in the first three seconds. Most summaries don't deliver that.
MISTAKE 04
Bullet points that describe, not prove
"Responsible for reviewing medical records" tells a hiring manager nothing. They're looking for evidence you've already been doing the job well. "Responsible for" is a job description — not evidence.
MISTAKE 05
Sending the same resume everywhere
One resume for every role means every application is slightly wrong. Decoding each job posting before you apply — and tailoring accordingly — is the difference between silence and a callback.

I built Blossom because I watched too many talented HIM and Health IT professionals get overlooked for roles they were absolutely qualified for — not because they weren't good enough, but because their resumes weren't telling the right story. This guide is the fix I wish someone had given them sooner.
